With fast access to Consultant Haematologists, we can help investigate, diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions. Haematologists can see patients for blood disorders such as:

  • Lumps and bumps within glands
  • Coagulation disorders including unexplained bleeding
  • Haemochromatosis
  • Iron deficiencies

Haematologists can also see patients for suspected blood cancers such as:

Conditions of the blood often require a number of investigations and diagnostics to be carried out. Our comprehensive diagnostics and imaging suites at KIMS Hospital and Sevenoaks Medical Centre support a wide range of scans, whilst a full complement of specific blood tests can be performed at our hospital in Maidstone to help diagnose blood disorders and blood cancers.

Accessing care with us

You can be referred to a Haematologist via your GP or another healthcare professional whether you are self-funding or have private medical insurance.

If you are using private medical insurance, it is important that you obtain an authorisation code from your provider before booking your appointment. We would recommend that you also identify what is included in your Outpatient package including diagnostics such as scans and blood tests prior to your first consultation with your Haematologist.
