Brow lift surgery
A brow lift can be carried out to open up your eyes and create a brighter, more youthful appearanceAs we age, the brow can begin to droop down towards the eyes and create a hood-like effect, often making us look older. In some severe cases, this can cause problems with vision. A simple eyebrow lift procedure will lift the brow area directly above your eyes, tightening any loose skin around the area and removing excess fatty tissue to create a firmer, more youthful appearance.

FAQs
What does a brow lift involve?
The brow lift procedure is performed under general anaesthetic and takes between one and two hours to complete. Your Consultant will make three to five small incisions on the scalp to operate on the muscles and fatty tissue behind the hairline. The eyebrows are lifted and held in place with stitches or absorbable clips. The incisions are then either stitched or clipped.
Where will my procedure take place?
Regardless of where you had your initial consultation, all surgical procedures take place at KIMS Hospital in Maidstone. Most outpatient appointments, including scans and tests, and follow up appointments with your Consultant, can take place at either KIMS Hospital or Sevenoaks Medical Centre.
How long is the recovery period?
Following brow lift surgery, you will be taken to your room to recover, and it is usual to be able to leave hospital after 24 hours. Our nursing team will advise you of any further actions you should take to aid your recovery, and it is likely that you will have a follow-up consultation after one week.
