Richard Dimblebee Interim Hospital Director & Finance Director

Richard is a qualified Chartered Accountant with over 15 years senior financial management experience across a wide range of sectors with extensive multi-site exposure, including healthcare, education, FMCG, retail, wholesale and logistics. Richard’s most recent healthcare experience includes four years as the CFO at the Princess Grace Hospital in Marylebone, London. Richard is a results driven individual with a hands-on approach and high levels of integrity and work ethics. A commercial thinker with the ability to think outside of the accounting box and contribute strategically and operationally to the business.

You may not know…

Sports features heavily in Richard’s life and he is keen to try any sport at least once, even learning to skateboard in his early 40s and he still plays competitive basketball regularly (the height comes in handy!). However, Richard’s real passion is the ocean and he is happiest when he is either near the ocean or preferably in it, ideally on a paddleboard or in diving gear.

Ros Daitshell HR Director

Ros is a commercially focused, chartered senior HR professional with extensive HR management experience across the independent healthcare sector. Ros has broad experience across complex change management and strategic projects that add commercial value in a business environment. She is experienced at leading, influencing and coaching. A customer focused individual with the ability to quickly get to the heart of an issue, build relationships and deliver creative, pragmatic solutions. Ros has worked for many of the independent health providers including BUPA and Nuffield, she led the HR work streams on five hospital start-ups on the Independent Sector Treatment Centre programme and most recently managed the HR function in a hospital in the Middle East.

You may not know…

Ros attended art classes whilst working at a hospital in the Middle East. The image she is holding is of one of the guest service staff members. Ros thought this kind and often smiling lady captured the spirit of the hospital and was compelled to paint her portrait. Ros still attends art classes today and has even had her work exhibited in a gallery in Whitstable.

Mark Griffiths Commercial Director

Mark has over 25 years’ experience in business development and sales roles. Before moving into healthcare he was an Area Director with Royal Bank of Scotland Group, looking after small to medium-sized businesses and a team of 20 Development Managers. In 2009 he moved into private healthcare with Spire in East Kent, as part of the senior management team. In his time at Spire he increased revenue by 40 per cent, through developing effective relationships with consultants, GPs and key stakeholders.

Football and Tennis play a huge part in Mark and his family’s lives. Mark and his two sons are avid Gunners (Arsenal Football Club) fans and never turn down an opportunity to watch them play at the Emirates Stadium or on TV! His youngest son plays football in the Kent league and his eldest son coaches tennis in Sydney Australia.

Jackie Groom Chief Nurse

Jackie is a highly-experienced clinical leader specialising in the management and development of nursing teams and allied health professionals. She has extensive knowledge and hands-on experience of the public and private sectors, with proven expertise in the creation and delivery of education and training programmes.

Superstar Arts are an organisation who have, for many years, supported the development of and provided social interaction opportunities to one of Jackie’s sons, Charlie. Charlie has Down's Syndrome and so the work that Superstar Arts do with people with both physical and learning difficulties is amazing. Charlie has been on many trips and holidays with the group, which have developed his independence skills exponentially. Jackie’s family have all benefited from the support these amazing people give to Charlie!

Tom Reichhelm Medical Director

Born and raised in Germany, Tom Reichhelm completed his medical degree at the University of Freiburg in the South West corner of the country. Tom has over 20 years’ experience as a General Medical Practitioner, having worked at West Malling Group Practice since 1997, where he was Managing Senior Partner at the Practice. As well as an experienced doctor, Tom is a successful entrepreneur having founded and been part of multiple healthcare businesses. In 2007 he founded Malling Health, one of the country’s largest primary healthcare providers with a turnover of 22 million, staff in excess of 600 and more than 40 clinics across England. Tom was also involved in the beginning and launch of KIMS Hospital back in 2013 and 2014, and has been involved with the hospital in various medical capacities since. Tom is a proponent of breaking down the boundaries between NHS and private healthcare and is a strong believer in utilising technology to create a health service that is more accessible and compatible with people’s lives.

Tom is a keen gardener. Ever since childhood he has been fascinated with plants and has a growing collection of rare and unusual subtropical and tropical plants from around the world. In his garden you will find exotic fruits including bananas, oranges and guavas, as well as eye catching bird of paradise plants.

Caroline Southwood Communications & Marketing Director

Caroline is a results driven communications professional, with extensive experience at Board level in healthcare and financial services. Experienced in organisational change, protecting and promoting organisation reputations to drive business results, Caroline has worked for some of the leading private healthcare providers. Most recently Nuffield Health, Bupa and Vitality. Caroline has also worked on a consultancy basis in both the charity sector and NHS. Strong leadership skills, a team player with high levels of energy and integrity. An excellent written and verbal communicator with experience of adapting to different cultures to influencing stakeholders. An expert in employee and leader communications with a passion for health & wellbeing.

You may not know…

Caroline’s passion is walking and scrambling up mountains. So far her adventures have taken her to South America and various mountain ranges across Europe, the most recent been the Tour du Mont-Blanc. However, Caroline is most at home taking on the challenges of the mountains in the Lake District National Park and Snowdonia. In 2017, Caroline was a member of the KIMS Hospital team to complete the Three Peaks Challenge to raise money for the Heart of Kent Hospice.

Gillian Coomber Chief Operating Officer

Gillian qualified as a nurse at St Thomas’ Hospital in 1992 and is an experienced healthcare leader with extensive knowledge of the private and public sectors. Gillian joined KIMS from Spire healthcare where she spent 13 years within Director of Clinical Services and Hospital Director roles across Kent. Nursing is at the heart of Gillian’s career and this ensures that the focus on outstanding patient care is at the core of what she does. Gillian firmly believes that success comes from a great team culture and she is passionate about supporting teams to grow and develop.

You may not know…

Gillian is a keen traveller, and will jump at the opportunity to board a plane or embark on a road trip. One of her favourite recent trips was touring around Japan on a bullet train, particularly as the Japanese culture is so welcoming, and the sumo wrestling championships is an experience never to be forgotten.
