KIMS Hospital raise thousands for Macmillan Cancer Support

Saturday July 20^th saw a group of intrepid adventurers grapple with the arduous ascents of the North Downs down to the beachy flats of Whitstable for a healthy dose of sea air, all in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.

The 29 mile trek was challenging and exhilarating in equal measure- luckily the day was punctuated with water stops at The Hook and Hatchet Inn, Faversham Medical Centre and The Old Neptune on the Whitstable seafront with a much needed BBQ. All showed such generosity of spirit which really kept us all going when we were feeling weary.

Our “one team” ethos shone through as we all encouraged each other through the stages of the journey.  It was so heart-warming to see KIMS Hospital come out in full force to support such a worthy cause. We smashed our £3.5k target and achieved the brilliant sum of £4,500 for Macmillan Cancer Support which we are positive will go beyond £5,000 with continued donations.
