Mr Sam Orkar is a Consultant Reconstructive, Plastic & Aesthetic Surgeon.
Mr Orkar believes in working with the desires of his patients to advice and ultimately give them the options best suited to them, and achieves natural beautiful results.
Mr Sam Orkar obtained his BM, BCh degree in 1987 from the University of Jos, Nigeria as best graduating student of his set. He is on the GMC Specialist Register and was appointed consultant in 2009. Mr Orkar is a full member of the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS) and (BAAPS)
Mr Sam Orkar trained in General Surgery and Plastic Surgery in Nigeria. He further trained at renowned plastic surgery units including, the Canniesburn Plastic Surgery Unit Glasgow, St Andrews Centre for Plastic Surgery and Burns, Broomfield Hospital Chelmsford, the Queen Victoria Hospital (Breast and Microsurgical Fellowship) and the McIndoe Centre (Cosmetic Fellowship) in East Grinstead.
In addition to Cosmetic Surgery, Mr Orkar is a Specialist in Skin Cancer Surgery and Breast Reconstruction. He performs complex face and body reconstructions, following skin cancer excision and he is one of a few surgeons performing Sentinel Lymph Node Biopsy (SLNB) for melanoma in the South East.
He also performs microsurgical breast reconstruction using DIEP and TUG flaps.
