Having been a Consultant Gynaecologist for 20 years, my main aim is to use my knowledge to enable patients to make a wise informed choice about their health. Throughout my career I having worked both locally and nationally to improve the quality of information that patients receive about their health. Having trained in Yorkshire, I moved to Kent in 2000 to take up a Consultant post at Darent Valley Hospital, Dartford. I have led the Rapid Access service for gynaecological cancer since 2006. I jointly run a Urogynaecology service which has twice been awarded national accreditation.
I treat a wide range of gynaecological conditions, including urinary incontinence and prolapse, heavy painful periods, pelvic pain, fibroids, ovarian cysts and vulval conditions.
Over 90% of the major surgery that I perform uses either a laparoscopic or vaginal approach.
