Professional Profile
Mr Hany Habeeb gained his undergraduate medical qualifications in 1987. He holds membership to several professional bodies including: Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, British Medical Ultrasound Society, British Society of Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology.
In addition to the routine gynaecological surgery, Mr Habeeb performs laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery to treat various gynaecological conditions such as ovarian cysts, uterine fibroids and menstrual dysfunction. His aim, where possible is to perform gynaecological surgery using a minimal access approach to maximise surgical outcomes and minimise patient morbidity resulting in 90% of hysterectomies being performed either vaginally or as a laparoscopic assisted vaginal hysterectomy.
He is accredited in gynaecological ultrasound both abdominal and vaginal and routinely uses this in his outpatient consultations which result in a quicker diagnosis and higher patient satisfaction.
He is also accredited in both diagnostic and therapeutic colposcopy and where possible advocates a one stop diagnosis and treatment for patients where possible.
Mr Habeeb is the Gynaecology Cancer Lead and Clinical Director for Women’s Health at Medway Maritime Hospital.
