Professional Profile
Mr Ahmed Hamouda qualified as a medical doctor in 1992, graduating from Ain Shams Medical School, Cairo, Egypt. He undertook a residency program in general surgery and appointed to university lectureship post due to outstanding academic achievements.
Mr Hamouda successfully applied for post-doctoral sub-speciality training in open competition and awarded a grant to pursue this. He completed a full SpR training rotation in South West Thames London Deanery. He has been awarded a laparoscopic biliary fellowship in Glasgow for a year which involved advanced laparoscopic interventions including complex laparoscopic cholecystectomies and bile duct explorations.
Following the award of Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training, Mr Hamouda successfully interviewed for a six month advanced bariatric fellowship in a Centre of Bariatric Excellence offering laparoscopic bands, sleeve gastrectomy and gastric bypass.
