Professional Profile
Mr Wright was appointed as consultant surgeon at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells Hospitals in 2013, specialising particularly in key-hole surgery for bowel cancer. Since then he held the position of clinical lead for colorectal cancer surgery for 5 years, leading the department’s response to COVID, and is now undergraduate lead for general surgery.
He did much of his training in London and Essex, culminating in the award of a coveted national laparoscopic colorectal fellowship in 2012.
In 2019 he was appointed Senior Clinical Lecturer at the new Kent and Medway Medical School, underlining his commitment to medical education.
