KIMS Hospital Team Raise Almost £5,000 for Charity
Blog News 24th September 2021 Enquiries & appointmentsAfter months of preparation and weekly training walks, 38 members of the KIMS Hospital team completed the trek from KIMS Hospital in Maidstone to Sevenoaks Medical Centre. The challenging walk of 26 miles – the distance of a marathon – was successfully completed in just over 10 hours and raised almost £5,000 for our charity of the year, Edhi Foundation!
The team made their way through Teston Country Park, One Tree Hill, and Knole Park before finishing off at Sevenoaks Rugby Club to celebrate with much needed burgers and refreshments.
Although challenging, the ‘One Team’ ethos shone through during the day with the group supporting each other all the way to the finish line… but most importantly, everyone had great fun in the process!
The walkers were supported by an amazing team who not only kept everyone organised, but ensured they were adequately fuelled with food and drinks throughout the day. Without them this walk wouldn’t have been possible.
