Mr Midhat Siddiqui is a senior Consultant Surgeon at the Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust.
He is a gastrointestinal surgeon with extensive experience in advanced laparoscopic surgery. Routine operations like gallbladder surgery, hernia, bowel, adrenal/spleen surgery and anti-reflux surgery for hiatus hernias are all performed via modern key-hole techniques. He also has an interest in bariatric surgery and offers laparoscopic gastric banding, sleeve gastrectomy, by-pass procedures and insertion of gastric balloons. Routine investigations of the gastrointestinal tract such as upper GI & Lower GI endoscopies are also undertaken.
To date he has undertaken more than 3,000+ advanced laparoscopic procedures and is a well recognised trainer in laparoscopic surgery.
Mr Siddiqui also has an interest in paediatric surgery and routinely undertakes common paediatric procedures such as appendicectomies, circumcisions and herniotomies.
He has over 15 years of experience in private practice and has been featured in the Tatler Doctors Guide(2013) as one of the leading specialist in his field in private practice in the UK.
He is very active in teaching and training the new generation of surgeons and has 60 plus publications in peer reviewed journals.
