We have an exciting opportunity for a Physical Therapy Assistant to join our growing department, where you can develop your understanding and expand your knowledge of Physical Therapy and rehabilitation.<\/p>\n<p>The successful candidate will work alongside qualified physical therapists, and after a period of competency based training will work with some patients autonomously, helping them to achieve their mobility and exercise goals after surgery. In addition, the role will also involving assisting in post-surgical rehabilitation group classes and delivering pre-surgical information sessions.<\/p>\n<p><b>Role Responsibilities include:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist clients with mobility and exercise programs, as guided by a Physical Therapist<\/li>\n<li>Maintain up to date, clear patient records and assist the team with administrative tasks<\/li>\n<li>Work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team, building key relationships with the ward staff as well as consultants and other members of the Physical Therapy team<\/li>\n<li>Assisting with the preparation of classes and clinics, ensuring equipment is available and set up ready for sessions and treatments<\/li>\n<li>Administrative duties to assist the physical therapy reception staff<\/li>\n<li>Work to continually improve patient care, exceeding patient&rsquo;s expectations and experience at all times.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Person Specification:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Have NVQ Level 2 or 3 or at least 1-year relevant experience.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Have an interest in physical therapy<\/li>\n<li>Ideally have experience working in a patient care environment, although training will be provided<\/li>\n<li>Have a caring and compassionate attitude, with excellent communication, literacy and numeracy skills<\/li>\n<li>Be willing to learn, always working only within competency boundaries<\/li>\n<li>Be enthusiastic, and be able to motivate patients to achieve their goals.<\/li>\n<li>Be prepared to work flexibly across 7 days as required<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>KIMS Hospital employees enjoy the following benefits: <\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Competitive Salary<\/li>\n<li>Pension Scheme<\/li>\n<li>Private Health Insurance<\/li>\n<li>33 Days annual leave plus extra time off for your birthday<\/li>\n<li>Life Assurance<\/li>\n<li>Annual Flu Vaccination<\/li>\n<li>Free Eye Test<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you do not receive a reply within 1 working week from the closing date, please assume you have not been shortlisted on this occasion.<\/p>\n<p>Previous applicants need not apply.<\/p>\n<p><b>If you have any queries regarding this vacancy, Lily would be happy to help.
