For this role we are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic Senior Nurse to work in partnership with the Lead Sister and Clinical Manager to maintain our exceptionally high standards at all times. The successful candidate will be a confident leader with the ability to inspire and act as a role model for junior staff whilst demonstrating their passion for providing outstanding patient care.<\/p>\n<p>This is a full time position working 37.5 hours per week on a rotating shift pattern which will include weekends and night shifts.<\/p>\n<p><b>Role Responsibilities include:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Promoting and initiating innovation and new ideas in methods of care delivery and effective use of resources, direct resource planning, ensuring maximum utilisation of skills and knowledge<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrating good clinical practise at all times<\/li>\n<li>Acting as the Senior Nurse in Charge whilst on shift maintaining responsibility for patient safety and staffing<\/li>\n<li>Working within a team, supervising and directing junior staff and deputising for Senior Staff as required<\/li>\n<li>Maintaining accurate records of patient care<\/li>\n<li>Review the allocation of staff to the unit and related areas on a daily basis, adjusting the workforce to reflect activity and patient need<\/li>\n<li>Develop and line manage the staff reporting into the role, through clear communication and lines of accountability and carry out performance reviews and appraisals<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Working to develop a strong, effective team by developing the vision and strategy of &ldquo;health care at its best&rdquo;.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Person Specification:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Be a strong and empathetic Registered Nurse (RN)<\/li>\n<li>Evidence experience working at a Senior Staff Nurse\/ Junior sister level.<\/li>\n<li>Have demonstrable experience of managing a busy Medical\/surgical ward<\/li>\n<li>Be absolutely patient focussed, with the confidence and skills to lead a team of multi-disciplinary clinical professionals<\/li>\n<li>Have knowledge of clinical governance and its application along with evidence of continuous professional development.<\/li>\n<li>Be an expert in building relationships with the ability to easily engage with consultants, colleagues and patients.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>KIMS Hospital employees enjoy the following benefits: <\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Competitive Salary<\/li>\n<li>Pension Scheme<\/li>\n<li>Private Health Insurance<\/li>\n<li>33 Days annual leave plus extra time off for your birthday<\/li>\n<li>Life Assurance<\/li>\n<li>Annual Flu Vaccination<\/li>\n<li>Free Eye Test<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you do not receive a reply within 1 working week from the closing date, please assume you have not been shortlisted on this occasion.<\/p>\n<p>Previous applicants need not apply.<\/p>\n<p><b>If you have any queries regarding this vacancy, Hannah would be happy to help.
