You will be responsible for organising and booking patient scans, liaising with consultants, modality leads, insurance providers and GPs. The majority of the position involves long periods of time on the phone, a strong and positive telephone manner is essential.<\/p>\n<p>The Imaging Department currently operates between 08:00 and 20:00 Monday to Saturday and we are looking for as much flexibility to accommodate these hours as possible. Our Bank workers are offered work on an ad hoc basis during busy periods, times of annual leave or other absence or where there is an increased demand for a skill set.<\/p>\n<p><b>Role Responsibilities include:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Working closely with the MRI, CT, Ultrasounds, Breast care, X- ray and Nuclear Medicine teams to ensure a comprehensive administration service is provided to the department.<\/li>\n<li>Organising and booking patient scans liaising with Consultants, Consultant\u2019s secretaries, modality leads, general clerical staff and insurance providers.<\/li>\n<li>Dealing with all patients in a sensitive and confidential manner.<\/li>\n<li>Registering patients and inputting patient data on the Patient Administration Systems.<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring an accurate and up to date database of patient records and computerised information is maintained.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Person Specification:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Have a proven track record working within an administration role.<\/li>\n<li>Possess excellent attention to detail and have strong IT skills.<\/li>\n<li>Be a good verbal and written communicator.<\/li>\n<li>Have previous experience within a similar, customer\/client centric Reception role.<\/li>\n<li>Be a flexible and adaptable individual that can work to tight deadlines.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you do not receive a reply within 1 working week from the closing date, please assume you have not been shortlisted on this occasion.<\/p>\n<p>Previous applicants need not apply.<\/p>\n<p><b>If you have any queries regarding this vacancy, Hannah would be happy to help.
