Our leading Cardiology Centre in Kent provides safe and effective cardiac and heart assessments, without the hassle of travelling into London. We understand that if you have any symptoms relating to your heart you will want access to a prompt and effective service from a team of experts to diagnose the cause.

Equally, if you have no symptoms, you may still want a routine health check on your heart.

For patients with symptoms

Our unique rapid Cardiac Assessment Service offers patients with symptoms a triage with a Cardiac Nurse, followed by a tailored set of heart tests to obtain a detailed insight into your cardiovascular health, and a face-to-face consultation with a Cardiologist.

This service offers access to a prompt cardiac assessment if you are experiencing heart symptoms such as palpitations, chest pain, breathlessness, suspected hypertension, heart murmurs, abnormal ECG results or unexplained faints/syncope.

A Cardiac Nurse will determine the appropriate set of diagnostic heart tests for your symptoms based on the results of your triage, and a price will be communicated to you.

    Prices include a full face-to-face consultation with a Cardiologist to review your test results, and payment will be requested following your triage.

    For patients without symptoms

    A dedicated Cardiology team can assess your heart health, and also highlight any risk factors you might be exposed to. All results are reviewed by a consultant Cardiologist.

    When you book a Healthy Heart Assessment with us, you can expect a range of tests and examinations to examine the function of your heart:

    • An ECG
    • An echocardiogram
    • A thyroid test to determine your thyroid function
    • A full blood count to check for anaemia and other blood disorders
    • Blood tests for liver health, kidney function and cholesterol levels
    • A blood glucose test, to determine if you’re diabetic
    • A Urinalysis
    • A check of your sodium, potassium and creatinine levels

    Your results will be reviewed by a consultant Cardiologist in 7-10 working days. Once reviewed, our team will notify you of your results and send a copy to your GP. If it is recommended for you to seek further medical advice, this can be done by arranging a consultation with a Cardiologist at KIMS Hospital, or through your NHS GP.
